make better decisions with this quick + simple exercise

i bet there’s a decision you have to make (or soon will) about which you’re ruminating.

perhaps you’re seeking input from a handful of people. or thinking about the pros and cons. maybe you’re considering how saying ‘yes’ versus ‘no’ will play out. or, maybe you’re avoiding the decision altogether.

i’m curious if you’ve taken a moment to pause, close your eyes, and ask yourself the question?

it could go like this (assuming it’s a binary choice):

get settled and relaxed. ask yourself, ‘should i say yes to option a?’. then simply wait.. feel what sensations emerge. once you’re clear, take a few deep breaths.

next, ask yourself, ‘should i say ‘yes’ to option b?’ and do the same thing.

open your eyes and reflect on which felt contractive versus expansive.

oftentimes, one will feel clearly one way versus the other. the expansive one is the ‘yes’.

if it all felt neutral, ask different questions or decide that there isn’t a ‘right’ answer.
