trick or treat: life design edition

you know what’s truly scary (even more so than the halloween goblins and ghouls you might encounter today)?

unmet potential and a life that was never truly lived.

these are some of the truths that i hear from clients time and again.

despite impressive ‘resumes’, they worry that they are doing ‘it wrong’.

that they’re focused on the things that the world celebrates while ignoring what they truly value.

i get it. i fell into the trap in my 20s. fortunately, i had enough rug-pull moments to wake me up and adjust.

in honor of halloween, let’s do a virtual trick or treat. you choose:

  1. trick yourself into continuing to go down the same path, making the same decisions, all the while, stifling that inner voice that’s telling you (and maybe showing you through how it’s manifesting in your energy or physicality) that some pivots are in order.

  2. or, treat yourself to listening to that inner wisdom that’s trying to show you the path forward. one that is aligned, fulfilling, and successful on your terms.

this isn’t a judgment. we’ve all been there.

the question is: is it worth it to muster up the inertia to do something differently? if that means discomfort in the short term, is it worth it in the long term?

to choosing ‘treat’, darrah

ps there's also option 3: congratulate yourself for already living #2 fully! if so, kudos to you!
