maybe you don't need to 'level up'

if you've ingested any sort of content in the personal development sector over the last 10 years, you're likely to have come across the idea of 'leveling up'.

in this context, it's typically borrowing video game vernacular to suggest that you go to the next level of growth and typically is accepted as the expectation of what we should want and desire.

in this month's episode of inprocess, kimberlin and i reconsider this idea and ask:

what if you don't need to fix anything about yourself? and/or what if you don't need to ingest anything else to grow (now or in general)? (these aren't necessarily the answers on which we land. you'll need to tune in to hear what we make of these questions.)

while it may seem odd to say that and then immediately suggest you listen to the episode, i'm okay with that because two seemingly opposite things can co-exist.

with that, i invite you to tune into this sub-60 minute (or 30ish min on 2x speed) episode where we also discuss:

  • my own view of 'destiny' vs free will and our (pre-ordained?) paths

  • how to fulfill our purposes

  • whether or not we believe that 'what's for you won't miss you'

  • living with integrity (in every space)

  • the opportunity cost of misdirected attention

  • questions to ask yourself to help you find your path

  • asking for what you need... and receiving it

  • the calendar reminders i create to support me in being the person i want to be to support my friends who are in seasons of struggle

  • where might you allow more 'being' vs 'doing'?

  • where can we let ourselves be in a different (less consumptive, perhaps) season of growth?

tune in here.

i would love to hear your biggest takeaway and/or first action that results from listening. reply and let me know!

to leveling, darrah
