the quality of your life will improve when this improves

friendships: there's so much we don't discuss culturally around the nuances of this essential type of relationship (yet, studies agree that they are key to our fulfillment, happiness, and well-being).

said differently: the quality of our lives is deeply intertwined with the quality of our relationships.

so, i'd venture to say that it's worth doing some deeper investigation into the state of our friendships.

that's precisely what i open up about it in this episode of the inprocess podcast.

i share about a couple of friendships that hit a crossroads where i was ready for them to grow in new directions and felt that circumstances would aid that happening organically.

i was wrong and talk about the tensions that transpired and how i thought about and handled them.

i also talk about what i'm doing differently in friendships now, like what i'm asking for specifically from friends to have both of our needs met.

since there aren't a lot of culturally agreed-upon models for friendship and the changes that transpire in our adult years, may this episode serve as a catalyst for you to continue to develop life-giving and mutually supportive friendships.
