what’s the cost of inaction?
have you ever considered the opportunity cost of not taking action?
we often wait until we have certainty, but sometimes, that's a cloak hiding our fear of taking messy action...
of possibly being 'wrong'...
but sometimes the risk is more in staying stagnant (an object at rest stays at rest, after all)...
versus taking messy, imperfect action that moves you in a direction that feels (as best as you can tell) that it's moving you towards your goals/visions/values...
and maybe those don't feel clear, so the action step is digging into the creation of those.
like everything, too much of anything can turn into a 'bad' thing.
constant action without pause, rest, recovery, and reflection aren't useful.
nor is total inaction.
or, 'action' you're taking just to fill the holes with things that don't really move the needle...
kind of like active procrastination.
for what it's worth, consider that messy action that is informed by an assessment of the information you have available to you might, at times, be the elixir to feeling stuck and remaining noncommittal.
what’s the opportunity cost of doing the same thing, knowing you’re not going to get the result you want?
where are you staying still and not being honest with yourself that it’s time to take action?
