it’s time to hit pause

happy holidays! have you carved out space to pause, reflect, and celebrate, even amidst what can be a whirlwind of activities this time of year?

 

let’s try something...even if it’s just for 5 minutes today: get quiet and still and ask yourself (in your mind or in writing):

  1. how did you spend your time this year? what happened?

  2. what challenges did you overcome?

  3. what did you learn from them?

  4. what energized you?

  5. what depleted you?

  6. what surprised you?

  7. what made you the proudest?

  8. what feelings or words emerge that encapsulate the year?

  9. what else is coming up that you’d like to process now?

with that:

  1. give yourself some credit for all you’ve done, learned, contributed, endured, and how you’ve grown!

  2. consider the things that depleted you or don’t feel aligned and consider lovingly saying ‘no’ to them in 2022.

  3. forgive and release anything that is anchoring you in the past (this is for your freedom).

  4. set your focus on the things you want to invite in for the upcoming year (and connect with why they’re important to you).

  5. choose a word or two as your mantras for 2022 so you can recenter your focus and energies by going back to them throughout the year.

  6. put in your calendar the actions you want to take yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and/or daily and chart them out. (break them down into micro-steps to move you towards your vision.)

there is no right or wrong way to do this. it’s simply about honoring where you’ve been, celebrating yourself, and clearing out energetic space for what’s to come.
